Accredited by the American Psychoanalytic Association, the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Carolinas (formerly called the UNC-Duke Psychoanalytic Education Program) has a rich tradition of offering clinical training in psychoanalysis, as well as training for academic and research candidates.
Building on that tradition, the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Carolinas is now the psychoanalysis training program of the:
  • Training programs in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis
  • Courses for mental health professionals, academics, and graduate students
  • Clinical supervision for clinicians at beginning through advanced levels
